Albany, Oregon

God, Home,
and Country

The Linn Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution began on February 3, 1914, in Albany, Oregon. Official recognition of the chapter came at a luncheon at Hotel Albany on September 30, that same year.  The chapter began with fourteen founding members.  The organizing regent was Mrs. Emma Tracy.

Linn County and Linn Chapter NSDAR were named for

Lewis Fields Linn, a senator from the state of Missouri, who pushed for the development of Oregon as an American territory and was instrumental in what became the
Donation Land Claim Act of 1850.

Linn Chapter NSDAR encourages all to consider a membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution.  For more information visit our contact page or the National Society DAR website.
