Linn Chapter Centennial Event

Linn Chapter held their 100 year celebration at Saint Mary's Church meeting room in historic Downtown Albany, Oregon. Over 65 members and guests attended and it was a wonderful event.

Chapter members displayed fashions over the past
100 years with hats and accessories.
These vintage items enhanced the scrapbook display.
The Linn Chapter historian shared the 100 year history, a photo slide presentation, as well a display of the scrapbooks.
The food was delicious and part of the grand plan of the
centennial planning committee. Committee member Sally Whittington is on the left.
Glenn Harrison, a very active Linn County historian, was presented with the Linn Chapter's Community Service Award for his leadership and efforts preserving history.

OSSDAR Vice Regent Cindy Parnell shared greetings from State Regent Ellen Hopkins who was unable to attend because of the weather.

Centerpieces included historic Linn Chapter photos and founding members patriot recognition. There were also custom printed gift bags with goodies.
The Albany Democrat Herald was at the event

history of Linn Chapter and the event.
